Description: Scrambling to the top of the mountain Spákonufell in Northwest Iceland was the inspiration for this work. The painting chronicles the intensity of the light during the arctic solstice and the vibrant colors of death and rebirth during the spring thaw.

Description: The morning light over my campsite in a glacial moraine of the Cloud Peak Wilderness in the Bighorn Mountains of Wyoming inspired this monumental painting. After a bitterly cold night one finds solace in the rising sun.
